Team vs Enterprise: What’s the right Avo plan for your organization?
Every organization using data to power their decisions depends on reliable event data. But when you look under the hood, most are still battling a familiar tradeoff: moving fast and breaking data, or enforcing governance and slowing everyone down.
At Avo, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose. That’s why we’ve built our plans around how teams actually scale: Structure, standards and collaboration and then – as teams and companies scale – growing into more automated enforcement of governance and ownership.
We offer two configurable paid plans — Team and Enterprise — each designed to help you manage tracking confidently at every stage of maturity.
Here’s how they compare, and how to know when it’s time to move up.
At a glance: Team vs Enterprise

Team: Structure, standards and collaboration for fast-growing teams
The Team plan is perfect for product, engineering, and analytics teams that want to level up from chaotic workflows and ungoverned spreadsheets to a streamlined collaboration.
What you get:
A single source of truth tracking plan, where your team can collaborate on planning, implementing and verifying analytics events.
5 Editor seats and unlimited view seats
Up to five users can draft, review, and approve changes to your tracking plan. This is usually enough for a small organization or a single product team managing tracking changes across product and engineering.
Approval workflows and automated branch audits
Your team can draft schema changes on branches, receive automated feedback on naming conventions and other data design standards. Impacted stakeholders and owners are visible and their review can be manually requested as well as individual teammates.
Schema sync to up to 5 downstream schema registries
Avo makes it easy to keep your tracking plan in sync with your analytics tools and powering downstream validation.
With the Team plan, you can sync to up to 5 downstream schema registries. If you’re working across more environments or tools, the Enterprise plan gives you unlimited flexibility.

Implementation tools
All viewers in Avo have access to implementation instructions for tracking plan changes, ensuring seamless alignment between data-spec and dev spec.
Avo Codegen, a powerful tool that generates clean, type-safe tracking code based on your tracking plan, is also available on all plans.
For customers leveraging Avo Codegen, all editors are able to pull Avo-generated code, and additional Codegen-only slots can be purchased for engineers that don’t need to edit the tracking plan.

Inspector: 100K events/month
Avo Inspector gives you a live view of your event data quality — so you can stop chasing bugs and start fixing them.
The Team plan includes 100,000 observed events per month. This allows you to get a snapshot of your tracking health but for continuous observability you’ll probably need additional volume.
Inspector scales with volume, not seats, so you can add more event coverage as you grow without worrying about headcount.

Enterprise: Governance for scale and complexity
There’s a moment in every company’s data journey where you’re not just tracking what’s happening in one product anymore. You’re connecting dots across brands, markets, and teams. You want to spot patterns, steer strategy, and actually trust the data behind your biggest decisions.
But scaling governance to ensure consistent data across your organization? That’s where things often fall apart. If the only way to ensure data quality is by controlling every detail yourself, the system doesn't scale.
The Enterprise plan provides the structure and tooling to grow. It unlocks a system that keeps quality high and teams unblocked – at scale.
You might be ready for Enterprise if:
- You manage multiple products, markets, or brands
- You need to enforce naming and tracking standards org-wide
- You want individual teams to move fast, but with governance in place
- You’re syncing data across a complex stack with many destinations
- You want full observability into tracking across platforms and environments
What Enterprise unlocks:
Governance without bottlenecks
Enterprise introduces:
- Enforceable admin approvals for schema changes
- Protected branches to restrict edits on critical schemas
- Custom naming rules and validations to enforce global consistency
This means you can set tracking standards once, and trust they’ll be followed — even when you’re not reviewing every branch.
Enforced ownership
On the Enterprise plan, stakeholders can be required reviewers on schema changes impacting them, and are pulled in automatically for review. Event ownership can also be enforced to ensure no new event is created without clear accountability. This ensures ownership and accountability is baked into the workflow without manual overhead.
Avo is the true foundation for our data solutions. Before Avo, aligning data collection across brands took months. Now, it takes about a week.

Inspector at scale
Enterprise includes 1 million events/month through Inspector, with the ability to scale far beyond that.
This allows you to validate:
- Every event sent across platforms and environments
- Implementation health in real time
- The quality and integrity of data powering your dashboards
You’ll have full observability — not just spot checks.
Enterprise-grade support and security
Includes:
- SAML SSO and Google Login enforcement
- SOC2 Type II compliance
- Audit logs
- Dedicated Customer Success Manager
- Priority support SLAs
How Avo pricing works
Avo’s pricing is designed to grow with your team, your product, and your data needs — no surprises, just straightforward scaling.
Here’s how it breaks down:
- Data planning: Editor and admin seats.
These provide full access to propose and review changes to your tracking plan, manage schema syncs, and collaborate on implementation workflows. - Implementation: Codegen slots.
With Codegen-only slots, engineers can pull generated tracking code as needed. These are billed based on active monthly usage, making it a cost-effective way to scale engineering adoption. - Observability: Event volume
Each plan includes a set number of events observed per month through Inspector. If you need more, you can easily add extra volume without upgrading your whole plan.
Volume discounts.
The bigger your event volume or team size, the more favorable your price per unit becomes. This is especially helpful for Enterprise customers managing data across multiple brands, markets, and tools.
